Swainsboro Raceway 2015 Zaxby's Crate Late Model Rule Meeting will be held at the racetrack at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 26th.


Swainsboro Raceway continued it’s yearlong celebration at the historic 3/8 mile oval. The historic racing facility celebrates 50 years of family entertainment this year. Last week Mother Nature won the race but this week she blessed us with the greatest racing weather ever. With temps in the 70s at racetime fans from all over Georgia converged on the speedway to witness the greatest drivers on dirt prepare for next weekends Pinetree 100.
The first race of the Zaxbys Crate Eight Series saw Swainsboro Ga’s Ben Faircloth lead from start to finish. Faircloth paced his Ga. Sports Arena Chevrolet on the Budweiser Pole during qualifying with Grovetown Ga’s Chris Usry turning the second quickest time to complete the Zaxby’s Fast Duo front row. At the drop of the green flag Faircloth won the drag race to turn one and led the entire 30 lap feature and picking up the $2,000 check. Austin “the Hammer ” Scarboro was able to power his Halls Farms mount around Chris Usry to finish second, Usry would end up third. Wendell Chavous from Augusta ended up fourth with defending track champion Hurricane Henry Carter out of Kite Ga would round out the top 5
In Sunoco Super Street feature veteran racer  Danny Scarboro drove his famous 04 Dirt Track photography Camaro into victory lane for the first time during the 2014 racing season. George Williamson won the heat race and started on the inside of Scarboro, the two battled side by side thru the first turn with Scarboro out handling the Williamson ride and took the lead. Scarboro would lead the entire event with George Williamson finishing second, Jamey Donaldson from Metter third, Bartow Ga’s Willis Mckenzie fourth and Mt. Vernon’s Ricky Brantley rounding out the top 5
The Daniels Chevrolet Pure Stocks continued to be one of the most action packed features of the night as Swainsboro’s Dustin Watkins continued his winning streak in the Charlie Coxwell prepared Monte Carlo. Watkins powered his ride into victory lane as all kinds of battles took place behind him.
defending Track champion Wesley Coleman was able to maneuver his ride into second with Brent Herndon out of Scott Ga. finishing third. Roger Mckenzie from Swainsboro finished fourth and Bartow’s Joe Joe  Mckenzie rounding out the top 5
The Kwik Stop Convience store came on board as the title sponsor of the Mini Stock division this week and Defending Mini Stock track Champion Joey Schoen showed out in his 92 Ford powered machine by picking up the Feature win. Chris Wilkerson current points leader had problems in his ride and decided to drive the RPM powered number 07, was able to finish second and gain some valuable points, Tim Wilkerson finished third, Timmy Monroe and Payton Johnson  finished fourth and fifth respectfully.
The Adams Construction Road Warriors entertained the crowd with some great side by side action as Defending Road Warrior Track Champion Tyler Holt took the lead on Lap 1 and never looked back. Holt powered his number 20 Popes Garage ride into victory lane leading all of the Feature. Ricky Strange in his famed number 17, who won his heat race, battled hard and ended up in the second position, Derrick Screws finished third with Jason Kight and Seth Clark rounding out the top 5
The loud and proud 440s stormed the track next with John Hooks adding to his win column. Hooks drove the 0 car into victory lane with Last weeks Feature winner Tommy Davis finishing second, Rod Morris third and Russell Hughes and the 2013 Sportsman of the year Mollie Boyd rounding out the top 5.
