Swainsboro Raceway Host 2018 Points Banquet

Drivers, crews, fans, sponsors, and employees of Swainsboro Raceway enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Savannah, GA as Swainsboro Raceway & Kart Track recognized its 2018 Track Champions aboard the beautiful Georgia Queen
Saturday night the top five drivers at Swainsboro Raceway in each division were recognized aboard the Georgia Queen as everyone enjoyed dinner and a year end review sponsored by Purvis Racing Parts. Track owner Paul Purvis presented the Sportsman of the year award to Scare House of the South 440 driver Randy Bird. The top five drivers in each division received money and a trophy. Each champion received a 6 ft trophy, money, replica check, Hoosier racing, jacket, hat, & championship ring. Champions in the Daniels Chevrolet Pure Stock, Sunoco Super Street, Southland Insurance 602, and Zaxby’s Crate Late Model divisions each receive GRW Competition racing engine and AR Bodies gift certificates. The 2018 Scare House of the South 440 Points Champion 15 year old Tyler Davis, second place Rod Morris, third place and Sportsman of the year Randy Bird, fourth place Cody Atkinson, fifth place Richard Lastinger. Earning his first points championship in the Roger Wheeler Construction Road Warrior division from Dublin, GA Jaime Foskey, racing double duty each week third place Kip Poole, fourth place Graham Stevenson, fifth Justin Williams. Carrying home the 2018 Daniels Chevrolet Pure Stock Points Championship “Geo” George Williamson, second Roger McKenzie, third Kip Poole, fourth another double duty driver Brent Herndon. In Sunoco Super Street 2018 Champion Monk Gulledge, second Brent Herndon, third veteran and legendary Jimmy Maness, fourth Tommy Clinard, fifth Dusty Collins. “The Tall Cool One” Terry Lumley earned the 2018 Southland Insurance 602 Points Championship, second place Tyler Mimbs, third Paul Smith, fourth Logan Tanner, and fifth Austin Scarboro. In the Zaxby’s Crate Late Model division, Jim Manka took home fifth place points and also
GRW Competition Engine certificate and AR Bodies Certificate.
